Eventually I forgot about it and switched off the beta, with everything returning to normal. I thought it might have been a problem with the game itself and not the beta. The train seemed to be a lot more prone to derailing constantly, mainly on the turns. I've noticed that first on the gm_mobenix_v3 map while doing whatever and driving around with built in train while playing on the old chromium branch before the newer x86-64 one was added. While playing on and off the beta branches of the game I've noticed that GMod's physics seem to be a lot more unstable in certain situations.
